Most people that know me well (hopefully anyone that decides to spend their time reading this nonsense), know that I have sworn off of any social networking sites and that I utterly despise blogs. The harsh truth of the matter is that I cannot think of a better way to update family and friends, if not for their benefit for mine, about my doings overseas.
That being established I have accepted an invite as of today 11/25/2010 to serve in the Peace Corps in Thailand as a Teacher Collaborator and Community Facilitator. I should be leaving relatively soon with an orientation date set for January 8, 2011. The application process was fairly drawn out as I started in June, but the fast approaching departure date has made up for this completely.
So here is my blog (this goes against everything I believe in) and my hope is that through this I will be able to keep in touch with all of you that I am closest to here in the states (although this blog is not important to me, your friendship, love and support are very much so).
I plan on posting again when I have absolutely anything interesting to say at all which in all likelihood will be post January 8th!
